YATRA sources and exports Indonesia's finest specialty coffee — starting with the rare and extraordinary Excelsa of Gunung Anjasmoro, Wonosalam.
Most people have never heard of Wonosalam. Not until they taste what grows there.
On the slopes of Gunung Anjasmoro in East Java, a variety called Excelsa has been cultivated for generations. Quietly, without fanfare, largely unknown beyond the village. Less than 5% of global coffee production. A profile that stops roasters mid-cup: jackfruit, blueberry, chocolate, a finish that lingers longer than it should. The world has simply not been paying attention.
YATRA exists to change that.
By training, I read spaces. What is there, what is missing, and what could hold if built correctly. That same eye is what I bring to origin sourcing. Wonosalam is not a gap in the market. It is a place with everything already in it: soil, altitude, craft, character. Waiting for the right structure around it. We are that structure. A specialty coffee export house built on one conviction. That origin is not a label. It is the product.
We began in Wonosalam because it earns it. We will grow across Indonesia for the same reason.
If you are looking for coffee that has a place, not just a flavor, you are in the right conversation.
